The idea bloomed sometimes in the April of 2004 as a joke. As I recall I said to my
friend "I'm not worried. I'll just start making adult toys!" I wasn't lying.
At the time I was working in yet another .com burning the candle on both ends. The
candle was burning out fast and so was I. This was the third company I saw with
good potential that was drifting into oblivion. Finally decided to take some time from
being an employee and do something not having anything to do with high tech.
Frankly I was also tired of talking about the great ideas we always think we have. I
had to put up or shut up. With the Iraq war heavily on my mind and wanting to do
something even remotely positive I ended up taking the craziest idea I had and
started developing it while starting a new job. My goal? To put a little information out
there; as small and insignificant as it might be. There was such a lack of information
and dialogue. Everything was a sound bite. There was no perspective what-so-ever;
as if history didn't matter! It didn't, and the rest is history....
So what better way to start by making a couple of dummies... I mean Action Figures,
and pepper the package with information and quotes from past politicians. History
and Perspective!
After 9 years in high tech it was a completely new industry so had to learn everything
from scratch; prototyping, terminology, cost, raw material, legal, manufacturing,
testing, import .... Made lots of mistakes that I'm still paying for; financially and
otherwise. But it was well worth the ride and very glad to be here :)
